Bowland Cheese was originally produced on a small scale by David Williams, using a recipe David s great grandfather Thomas Williams made at Christmas with apples, raisins and cinnamon. An almost Christmas Cake like flavour to it Bowland Cheese is often referred to as the perfect festive cheese . Its sweet taste makes it a great dessert cheese or of course, it tastes great just on its own.
