We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Technical to lead our Technical, Quality, and Food Safety agenda across our dairy operations. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, legality, and quality while maintaining strong collaborative relationships with all major UK retailers, and export..

Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Technical & Quality teams across multiple sites within the dairy category. Own the technical strategy to ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Act as the primary technical interface with all major grocery retailers, ensuring exceptional service, responsiveness, and transparency. Drive continuous improvement across quality systems, auditing programmes, supplier assurance, and manufacturing standards. Oversee product specifications, artwork approval, and technical elements of NPD/EPD projects. Maintain and continually enhance retailer audit performance, including BRCGS and customer-specific standards. Provide technical leadership during retailer visits, audits, and crisis management situations. Champion a strong food safety and quality culture across the organisation.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement Act as the senior technical representative with customers, retailers, third‑party auditors, and regulatory bodies. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Operations, NPD, Commercial, and Supply Chain. Provide clear communication and updates to senior leadership on technical performance, risks, and opportunities.

Continuous Improvement Lead initiatives to strengthen food safety culture and embed best practice across all departments. Support operational teams in identifying risks, improving processes, and enhancing product quality. Identify future capability needs and ensure the technical function evolves with business growth and customer expectations.

Leadership & People Management Lead, manage, and inspire the Technical and Quality teams to deliver exceptional performance. Build capability through structured coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and development programmes. Set clear objectives and performance expectations, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews. Foster a high‑performance, open, and collaborative culture across sites. We are currently seeking to recruit a self-motivated individual, who would like to join the Bradbury’s production team as Line Leader within the Production facility.

The role is a full-time position reporting into the Production Controller.

The purpose of the Line Leader role is to ensure production lines are keeping to the required standards of safety, product quality and process efficiency whilst maintaining high levels of GMP.

To provide support to the Process controller of each line by overseeing all safety and quality aspects including line efficiency and stringent GMP controls.

The position is shift work, 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm – Mon – Fri.

The Candidate:

We are looking for someone who is familiar with production line processes within a food manufacturing industry with a good knowledge of operational concepts, Health & safety and Food safety practices and procedures.

You will perform a variety of tasks within the Production facility to ensure the highest productivity and efficiency. Ideally the candidates will be self motivated and driven with great organisational skills and attention to detail.

Problem solving and fantastic communication internally with colleagues will be critical.  The individual will need to be proactive and hands on – driven by a desire to ensure that all key tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled and that the best possible results are achieved for both customers and internal stakeholders.

Key tasks Use Bradburys ERP system Syspro to enter purchase orders.Utilise current usage reports to identify purchasing requirements for the business.Be the dedicated Supply Chain contact for specific customers, liaising with Bradburys Cheese colleagues and customer Supply Chain contacts.

Other responsibilities Work with the Supply Chain Team to ensure availability of packaging, ingredients and cheese.Liaise with suppliers and Procurement team to ensure timely receipt of materials.Work alongside stock control team to ensure accurate stock holding.Help to proactively identify and resolve Supply Chain issues related to packaging materials, taking corrective actions when necessary. Maintain forecasts in the Bradburys Cheese ERP system Syspro for the customer(s) that you have been assigned to support.Communicate effectively with contacts to make them aware of any shortages.Collaborate with wider Supply Chain team, providing cover when required.
